Site proposal
The site was acquired by Parkridge Holdings who obtained outline planning consent for the following:
- A Waitrose food store of up to 2,712 sqm (net sale – 1,657 sqm)
- Three A3,A4,A5 units totalling up to 1600 sqm
- 60 bed hotel
- Up to 46 residential units (30% AH)
- Up to 260 parking spaces
- Improvements to public access, landscape and biodiversity around the River Biss
Sadly, in Augst 2011 Parkridge were placed into receivership and we are currently awaiting a dialogue with the receivers to decide how to take this site forwards.

- Transforming Trowbridge facilitates the principle of a joint development between Parkridge and Legal and General
2009
- An Outline Planning consent for a mixed use development was granted In June 2009

- A joint planning application was submitted in January 2008
