Urban Design Framework UDF [pdf file - opens in new window]
The purpose of the Urban Design Framework is to set out design principles for the development of Trowbridge town centre. The framework aims to create a long term vision for Trowbridge, develop local plan policies and provide guidance in its development.
Local transport plan [pdf file - opens in new window]
Local Transport Plans (LTP) steer the development of national transport policies at the local level. The second Wiltshire LTP (LTP2) sets out the County Council’s transport objectives, strategy, plans and targets for 2006/07-2010/11.
Delivery Plan [opens in new window]
A mechanism to apply many of the pre-requisite tools for the regeneration of Trowbridge will be set out in the Delivery Plan. This aims to position work streams and provide a framework for delivery.

Report responding to the Draft Regional Spatial Strategy for the South West 2006-2026.
Car parking strategy [pdf file - opens in new window]
This includes recommended actions, supported by an overarching objective, to implement the overall parking policies as set out in the Local Transport Plan and national policy.
West Wiltshire District Plan 1st Alteration [opens in new window]
The Plan guides development in the District up to the year 2011. It outlines the Council's policies for the use of land and related matters and the reasoned justification for them. The Plan is consistent with national planning guidance, as expressed in Planning Policy Guidance Notes (PPGs) with Regional Planning Guidance (RPG10), with the planning policies of neighbouring authorities and is in general conformity with the Wiltshire Structure Plan 2011.
Economic Impact Assessment [pdf file - opens in new window]
West Wiltshire District Council and the South West Regional Development Agency commissioned Roger Tym & Partners to analyse the projected growth in Trowbridge and the surrounding areas following the implementation of the Vision for Trowbridge. This takes the form of an economic impact study, looking at current and future growth patterns.
Retail Needs Assessment [opens in new window]
West Wiltshire District Council instructed DPDS Regional Ltd to prepare a Retail Needs Study to help inform policies of the emerging Local Development Framework (LDF). Work on this study began in January 2007.
