Trowbridge today

Trowbridge - the county town of Wiltshire - is a vibrant industrial, commercial and administrative centre that has long held a place on the national commercial stage.

Situated close to the western boundary of Wiltshire, the town benefits from good transport links and is 100 miles from London, 24 miles south-east of Bristol and 13 miles from Bath.

Trowbridge is ideal as a centre from which to discover the unique, deeply historic and often mysterious Wessex landscape and buildings. There are many fine historic houses and gardens to enjoy, many of which were built upon the wealth of the woollen industry.

With a population of around 30,000, Trowbridge is one of the three largest towns in Wiltshire and is set to grow even further over the coming years. It is already home to Airsprung Beds, Virgin Mobile, Nutricia, apetito and many other significant employers.

As such, Trowbridge provides a significant opportunity for inward investors, boasting a number of large vacant brownfield sites. With multi million pound developments due to start by 2009, the town will be transformed into a place for the people of Wiltshire to work, rest and play.
