The Waterside scheme is a £90 million family orientated leisure based mixed use development. It is being promoted jointly by West Wiltshire District Council and Wiltshire County Council, as it covers land currently used by the town library, the County Hall car park and where the Chapmans building is situated.
Modus was selected as preferred developer in 2007, and they propose a face changing scheme that will ensure Trowbridge becomes the place of choice for leisure, work and living; a place that people are proud of; and a place that drives the region’s economy.

The scheme is planned to be completed by the end of 2010 with the cinema and other leisure facilities opening in the October. On completion it is anticipated that the site will employ in the region of 500 people in addition to those jobs associated with construction.
