River Biss Public Realm Design Guide SPD

This Supplementary Planning Document was commissioned by Transfroming Trowbridge in 2008 and was funded by the former South West Regional Development Agency. The document sets out a deliverable vision for the river corridor and aims to assist in capitalising on the hidden, underused waterfront, improving the potential for investment and enhancing the overall image of the town. The purpose of the plan is to provide a holistic design guide for the creation of a River Biss waterfront.

Trowbridge Vision report FINAL LOW RES update 18aug10(2)This document was commissioned by Transforming Trowbridge in 2010 and is intended to be the first stage in the development of a Master Plan for the Town Centre. The study reviews and refreshes the Vision, sets out broad themes to be addressed in the regeneration of the town centre and establishes a broad direction of travel for each key site and the town centre as a whole. This will inform the Wiltshire Core Strategy.

The purpose of the Urban Design Framework is to set out design principles for the development of Trowbridge town centre. The framework aims to create a long term vision for Trowbridge, develop local plan policies and provide guidance in its development.

West Wiltshire District Plan 1st Alteration

The Plan guides development in the District up to the year 2011. It outlines the Council’s policies for the use of land and related matters and the reasoned justification for them. The Plan is consistent with national planning guidance, as expressed in Planning Policy Guidance Notes (PPGs) with Regional Planning Guidance (RPG10), with the planning policies of neighbouring authorities and is in general conformity with the Wiltshire Structure Plan 2011.
